Unturned VDS Plans
A budget-friendly Unturned server option with an Intel Xeon Platinum 8160 processor, NVMe SSD and DDoS protection.
Unturned Premium Plans
Unrivaled single-core power with the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. Designed for heavy maps, large zombie AI populations and RocketMod servers.
Why Do You Need a VDS to Run an Unturned Server?
Because Unturned runs on the Unity engine, zombie AI, item drops and animations are processed on a single core. On large maps with more than 30 players, shared servers fall short and crash. For a lag-free gaming experience, you need an isolated Unturned VDS with high processing power.
On Verunix servers you can install the RocketMod, OpenMod and LDM frameworks with one click and run plugins without limits. Easily add any custom maps and vehicles you like from the Steam Workshop, and with NVMe SSD and our Turkey location, hold your spot in the Steam server list with sub-5ms ping and high FPS.
- RocketMod & OpenMod support: All popular plugins like uEconomy, Kits, Vehicles and AdvancedClans run smoothly
- Steam Workshop integration: Install custom maps (4×4 vehicles, PEI Reborn, etc.) and mod packs with one click
- Guaranteed CPU and RAM allocation: Zero tick lag, even with 50+ players, high zombie spawns and animal AI load
- Dedicated IPv4 + port 27015: Show up in the Steam server browser and let players connect directly via IP/domain
- MySQL / SQLite database included: An extra free database for uEconomy, ban management and character data
- Linux + Windows choice: One-click deploy on Ubuntu, Debian or Windows Server 2022
- Unturned-specific DDoS protection: 24/7 filtering against UDP floods, Steam query exploits and crasher attacks
What Is an Unturned VDS Server and Why Choose Verunix?
An Unturned VDS is a virtual server infrastructure with hardware resources 100% dedicated to your Unturned project. Since all components, including RAM, CPU and storage, are reserved for your game, other users' traffic won't slow you down.
The Unity game engine demands high single-core speed and plenty of RAM. To prevent rubber-banding and sudden FPS drops, we use the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, which runs massive maps smoothly.
With our NVMe SSD technology for fast map loading (Asset Warming) and our Turkey location with latency under 5ms, we deliver a first-class Unturned Premium server experience.
What Are the Performance Differences Between Ryzen and Xeon Processors on Unturned Servers?
The biggest mistake with Unturned servers is focusing only on core count. The game processes its work on a single core called the "Main Thread." So as the number of players and zombies grows, what your server needs is high single-core speed.
Older Intel Xeon servers run at low clock speeds, causing lag during vehicle physics or explosions. In contrast, the AMD Ryzen servers we use (Ryzen 9 5950X) deliver 50% stronger single-core performance than Xeons, solving lag problems.
If you're planning a heavily modded Unturned server for 24 or more players, choosing AMD Ryzen infrastructure is vital to your project's success.
- Lower single-thread speed
- Budget-friendly entry option
- For mid-sized servers
- 50% higher IPC
- High boost frequency
- Stable AI and vehicle physics

Unturned Server: Looks Lightweight, Needs the Right Setup
Don't be fooled by the low system requirements: on a plugin-heavy Unturned server, the difference is in the details.
Lightweight but Detailed
Unturned is one of the lightest game servers on our list: a vanilla server runs comfortably on 2 GB RAM. What makes things bigger, however, is the RocketMod / OpenMod plugin ecosystem: as kits, economy, region protection and Discord integration are added, both RAM and CPU needs rise gradually. Workshop-modded maps (such as Elver and A6 Polaris) need extra disk space and memory to load.
Tickrate and Config Layout
The most commonly overlooked part of server configuration is tickrate and queue settings: on high-population PvP servers, the default settings lead to hit-reg complaints. Set up your Commands.dat and config.json properly during installation and you won't have to deal with it later; our support team is happy to share our template configurations.
Multi-Instance Strategy
On our Turkey-based servers, your players enjoy low ping; as your server grows, you can split costs by running multiple Unturned instances on the same machine (each on its own port). For this scenario, the multi-core options in our VDS plans are ideal.
